What this document explains
- The standard we are working to
- What we know does not yet meet it
- How to get the same information another way
- How to report a problem, and what happens then
This summary is here to help you find your way around. It does not replace the full wording below, which is what applies.
1. Our commitment
Travel information is only useful if everybody can read it. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA across this website, and we treat a failure to do so as a fault to be fixed rather than a preference.
2. What that means in practice
- Every page can be operated by keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator.
- Status is never conveyed by colour alone — there is always a label or an icon as well.
- Interactive targets are at least 44 by 44 pixels.
- Photographs carry alternative text, and video carries captions and a transcript.
- Animation is reduced or removed when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Text reflows without loss of content at 200% browser zoom.
3. What we know is not yet right
- The embedded map on our contact page cannot be operated fully by keyboard. The full address is written out beside it and there is a link that opens it in your own maps application.
- Some older PDF receipts issued before 2025 are not tagged for screen readers. Ask us and we will send a plain-text or HTML version the same working day.
- A small number of photographs published before 2024 have alternative text that describes the place rather than the image. We are working through these.
4. Telling us about a problem
Use the contact form and choose Website support, or telephone us. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do and what happened. We acknowledge within two working days and tell you either when it will be fixed or how to get the same information another way in the meantime.
5. Review
This statement was last reviewed on 20 June 2026 and is reviewed at least once a year, and after any significant change to the website.
