About Global Tamil Travel

The people behind every carefully planned journey.

Global Tamil Travel began by bringing people together through local journeys across the UK. Today, the same care, organisation, and community spirit guide every international trip we create.

Where we began

It started with journeys closer to home.

The first trips were short ones. A coach from London, an early start, a day somewhere green — organised for families and groups who wanted to go together and did not want to work out the logistics themselves.

Those journeys taught us the things that actually matter. That a pickup point needs to be somewhere people can find in the dark. That a family with a pushchair and a grandparent with a walking frame have different needs on the same coach. That the question people most want answered is not what the itinerary says, but where do we meet and what time should we be there.

We are now planning outbound journeys as well as local ones. The destinations have changed. The way we look after the people going has not.

We started because our own families wanted to travel together and could not find anyone who would organise it properly. Everything since has come from that.

    Local UK journeys

    Day trips and weekends away

Coach departures from London to the coast, the countryside and the cities — organised end to end so a group could simply turn up.

  2. A large group of people together at an outdoor gathering.

    Community group travel

    Travelling as families and groups

Temple groups, extended families and community associations began asking us to plan for them. Group travel became the thing we understood best.

  3. A loch in the Scottish Highlands under low cloud.

    More destinations

    Further from London

The Highlands, the Lake District, Cornwall and Wales. Longer journeys meant overnight stays, more moving parts, and a booking process that had to be clearer.

    Outbound international trips

    Departures with flights

Sri Lanka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and beyond. Passports, visas, airport meeting points and travel documents — a different level of coordination, built on the same groundwork.

    Where we are heading

More destinations, and an account where every booking, document and payment sits in one place. The same team behind it.

What we believe

Travel should feel exciting before it feels complicated.

Our role is to make the important details clear, keep the journey organised, and help travellers feel supported from the first enquiry to the return home.

01

Make planning feel clear

We organise the important details so you can understand what comes next. Dates, pickup points, what is included and what is not — before you commit, not after.

02

Keep support human

You should always know how to reach a real person when you need help. Every message is read by someone on the team, and every booking has a name attached to it.

03

Build journeys around people

Families travel differently from couples. A group of twenty needs different planning from a group of four. We start from who is going, not from the itinerary.

04

Grow without losing care

As we open more destinations, the personal support behind each journey stays the same. If we cannot look after a departure properly, we do not run it.

How we grew

Closer to home was only the beginning.

The experience gained from organising local travel now supports a growing collection of international journeys departing from the UK.

  1. LondonWhere every journey is planned, and where most of them begin.
  2. UK destinationsCoach departures to the coast, the countryside and the cities.
  3. EuropeSwitzerland, Italy and short-haul group journeys with flights.
  4. AsiaSri Lanka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and the Maldives.
  5. Further stillNew destinations, opened only when we can support them properly.
How we work

Carefully planned, clearly communicated.

Every journey should be easy to understand before you commit to it.

  1. Discover

    Find something that fits

Browse by destination, by season or by the kind of trip you are after. Every journey page carries its dates, duration, joining points and starting price.

You can compare journeys without asking us first.

  2. Understand

See what is and is not included

Inclusions, exclusions, room options, pickup arrangements and the conditions that apply — written out in full before there is any pressure to book.

Nothing important is discovered after you have paid.

  3. Book

    Confirm with a deposit

Traveller details, room choices and payment in one pass, with a written confirmation, a receipt and a reference the moment it is done.

You leave with a record of exactly what you agreed.

  4. Prepare

    Get ready without chasing us

Payment reminders, document requests, schedule updates and joining instructions arrive in good time, and stay in your account so you can find them again.

You are told what is needed before it becomes urgent.

  5. Travel

    Someone is with you

A named coordinator for the departure, contact details you already have, and a route for reaching us if something changes while you are away.

You never have to work out who to call.

What you can expect

Confidence comes from knowing what to expect.

Everything below describes how we operate today. We would rather list fewer things and stand behind all of them.

  • UK-based support

The people who plan your journey and the people who answer the phone are the same team, working from London.

  • Clear booking information

Price, inclusions, exclusions and conditions are shown before you pay, and the terms you accepted are stored against your booking.

  • Secure payment handling

Card details are entered directly with our payment provider and never reach our systems. We hold the amount, the date and the method — nothing else.

  • Defined joining arrangements

Every departure has a stated pickup point or airport meeting point, a time, and a named coordinator to look for.

  • Structured communication

Confirmations, reminders and changes go out on a schedule, by the channels you have chosen, and stay in your account afterwards.

  • Travel-document guidance

We tell you what is typically required for your destination and when to start. Applying is still yours to do — we do not claim otherwise, and we never guarantee a visa outcome.

  • Careful handling of passenger information

Documents are stored encrypted, seen only by the staff checking them, and deleted twelve months after you travel.

  • Clear cancellation and amendment terms

What a change or a cancellation would cost is written down, and we give you the figure in writing before anything is actioned.

Who you will speak to

Meet the people who help the journey come together.

A small team. You will usually deal with the same person from your first question to the day you get home.

Who we work with

The arrangements behind your booking.

Only what we can evidence, and what actually affects you as a customer.

  • Company registration

    Registered in England and Wales

Why this matters: You are booking with a registered UK company, so you have the protections that come with that and a legal entity to hold to account.

  • Payment processing

Card payments handled by our payment provider

Why this matters: Your card details go straight to the provider and never touch our systems. Card protections and chargeback rights apply as normal.

  • Transport

    Licensed UK coach operators

Why this matters: Every coach on a local departure is run by an operator with a current licence and insurance, not a private hire arrangement.

  • Hotels and stays

    Accommodation booked in our name

Why this matters: Rooms are contracted by us, so if something is wrong on arrival you have someone to call who can actually change it.

Who we travel with

The best part of travel is who you share it with.

Global Tamil Travel is shaped by the people, families, and groups who continue to journey with us.

Three generations of us went. My mother had not been back in eleven years. Somebody thought about the walking, the food and the heat before we even asked.
